I live in South Tempe, and at least once a month, my wife and I cross over the interstate 10 and head over to Sakana Sushi & Grill in Ahwatukee.
I was first introduced to this eatery about 2 years ago from a collegue that stated that they have some of the best Sushi in town, and my friend has not let us down.
We usually eat there for dinner and the place can be a little crowded on a Friday night, but the wait is usually no longer then 30 minutes. The service is great and the restuarant is just cozy enough and its not too loud.
They have a full drinking bar, sushi bar, and you can even order hot things from the kitchen. Their sushi selection is the best in town and they always have weekends specials. My wife and I usually will just order off of the sushi menu.
What is funny now, is my wife and I usually use Sakana as the standard to other Sushi restaurants when making comparisions.
If you have never tried this restuarant, please give it a chance, you will not be disappointed.
I would visit their website for full details.
