Going Wild in Aurora Colorado

Going Wild in Aurora Colorado

The Green Valley Ranch golf course is home of the Colorado Open golf tournament and Megetrick golf academy.

Green Valley Ranch golf course was designed to keep the natural wetlands around it safe. The cottonwood trees were kept safe during the construction process and provide much needed shade to the course. Spotting wild life on the course is common. The same day I photographed this coyote a fox was seen near the same area along the wetlands.

Colorado Western Real Estate is a proud sponsor of the Colorado - Texas Junior Ryder Cup hosted at Green Valley Ranch.

I just took pictures at a driving range.  I had to sneek on and off so that the golf police wouldn't catch me - I'm just that bad at it.

Ahhh, you live and Florida, I thought it was the law that everybody HAD to play golf there.

I don't belong here. That is the proof that I now realize!  Holy smoke, I've never seen it before now.  I belong in Montana or something.

Jay would love to golf there...me I'm with Chris..I really can't golf and don't like it much at all.

Hi Dena,  This looks like a nice golf course...but I don't golf either.  Maybe we should start an I'm not a golfer group.  :)

I don't know 'nuthin about golf either. CWRE just sponsored this event. I spent my time on the deck watching people practice chipping and reading a book for fun. (remember reading for fun?) I've been told that many, many deals get done on  a golf course and I'm here to tell you I saw it happen a couple of times with various people in the resturant. I did go out on a cart and watch the kids - I watched one of my co-workers picked up a VERY nice client. So I'm dusting off my mothers old clubs and I'm either going to learn or fake golf well.

Dena.......great blog and the cayote was so cute "sneak'n" aroung the practice area.  Great weekend and all the kids missed tell'n you g'bye, right along with the parents, both Colorado and Texas.  You left way too soon!!!!!!

Dean - I have not yet played this course but I hear that it is very nice.  Did you stay in Denver while the tournament was going on or were you just here for the day?

Steve, I attended all 3 days and arrived before the kids everyday. And I stayed at the Hilton on 40th just down Pena. I live to far to drive everyday. You should try and play this course, from what I could see it was very nice and a bit challenging.

I hope it wasn't too hot Dena!  I didn't realize they had coyotes down there too, but I guess they are everywhere there is a food supply.

Joanne, I think Coyotes are all over anymore. And lets face it 10 years ago DIA and Pena blvd was way out there.

Guess what?! I was the first person to post pictures of Aurora to localism - go figure!

I noticed that Dena actually.  I have quite a bit to post, but no Aurora up, yet.
