Pics From Calgary Stager's Lunch

Today was a big day for stagers and organizers in Calgary. Twenty-two of us gathered at a trendy restaurant in Mount Royal Village for lunch. It was such a wonderful experience to meet people in the same field. Our very own Cheryl-Anne Priest attended and encouraged all to form a stager's group. We will meet monthly, bring in speakers, solve problems, and just generally chat and have a good time.

I organized this one - but Active Rain's Bhairvi Johnston- organizer extraordinarie has graciously consented to take over the future gatherings. Here are a few pics from our good time.

Hopefully, this will become a monthly or bi-monthly get together. Oh yes, Cheryl-Anne also told them all about Active Rain so we may see some new bloggers coming on soon. Betty

Betty, you know what I don't see on those tables don't you? :-)  Glad you all had a nice time.  I can't imagine there are that many stagers in one locale!  And you all keep busy too.  Amazing!  By the way, let me know your Orlando plans, we'll definitely get together!

mamey - how I love you how I love you, my dear old mamey

Hey Terry, I emailed you about what was missing from the table - and it's just hiding - like my sister.  There are plenty more stagers here, but many couldn't attend for one reason or another.  I am very pleased there is enough work for all of us.  Definitely want to get together in Orlando.  Betty

Betty- good photos.  Thanks for putting this luncheon together.  It was a great opportunity for Calgary stagers and organizers to meet and share information.  I look forward to our next meet and greet.  It will also be nice to see new bloggers from our area.

Cheryl-Anne, thank you for getting the group organized for more meet and greets.  Wouldn't it be fun to have our great stagers from AR come and speak to us?  Betty

It looks like it was a great time had by all.  I'm jealous! But we have a great group here too and we meet monthly as well.  Encouraging and supporting one another will help all your businesses grow!

OH FUN! I want a group in my area ;) I love lunching with the ladies! Stagers here seem to be too busy to do it, or they are all newbies who show up trying to suck the life out of you...

Cheers,

Cindy

Cindy - my but you have a way with words!  How about we have Betty set up a luncheon especially in your honour when you deliver our new stock that you will be bringing back from Taiwan.  P.S.  Did you get my wish list yet?

Cindy, I have to agree with Cheryl-Anne.  You do have a way with words.  Cheryl-Anne you cracked me up when I read that.  And yes, Cindy I will definitely set up a luncheon in your honor when you bring our new inventory.  I forgot to send my list, but just double Cheryl-Anne's - she has great taste.  Betty

Karen, I think you are right.  We all need to support and encourage one another.  There was a lot of that going on at the lunch.  What does your group do at your meetings?  Where do you meet?  Betty

Cheryl-Anne did you notice how I matched the picture frame to your jacket?  Betty

Hi Betty- I'm envious, I think it's fabulous you were all able to get together and share your ideas and experiences. I would love to have met you and Cheryl-Anne! I certainly did noticed how you coordinated the picture frame w/ Cheryl-Anne's jacket.  Well done Betty.

I can't seem to find you in the picture, were you behind the camera taking the pics?

Betty, I didn't get your email.  It was probably intercepted by the NSA!  Or the TSA, or possibly Homeland Insecurity!

Hi Betty, it is so much fun to get together with other Stagers in your area.  Thanks to Megan Gregory, we have had 2 lunch get togethers in Downtown St. Petersburg. We are getting together again, Sept. 18th. We talk about our businesses, at it was amazing how everyone seemed to have their own niche.  Last week a few of the gals could not show up, so this month, hopefully, we all can attend to go over all of our contracts to see what we need to add that someone else has thought of! Here's a pic from our first meeting.

Betty, Fun huh? If you had as much fun as our group does then I know it was great! I love the photos!

Cynthia, you guessed it - I was behind the camera!  And thank goodness for that, I don't take a very good picture.  The one on my profile is the result of over 100 pics and three days worth of photoshop.  LOL  Betty

Terry, I resent it - hope it gets there this time.  Betty

Lois, your lunch looks like a lot of fun too.  Great picture - who was behind the camera?  I'm am envying you in St. Petersburg because winter is coming here and it will be cold and nasty, no fun to pack and unpack in the snow.  Maybe we will only stage places with underground heated parking.  LOL  Betty

Anonymous, I don't know who you are but I love your daffynition for sourtop - that's how I feel too.  Betty

Yvonne, yes it was a lot of fun.  I'm working on getting you up here as a guest speaker - but like I said previously, don't head out to the airport just yet.  Betty

Have raffia, will travel.

Betty, our "waiter" was behind the camera.  He loves waiting on all us crazy ladies!

Betty - sorry, didn't mean to be anonymouse - just forgot to login.

Local camaraderie is KEY to business, Betty!  I'm not sure I understand the exclusive/competitive edge of some small business owners.  The pie is big, and getting bigger, to quote my friend Lynn Chevalier, and no one will go hungry.  Good for you for volunteering to connect the Calgary Dots!  Looks like you all had FUN!

Congratulations, and Cheers! from DC...

Nope Betty, didn't get it again!

Betty, This looks like it was just too much fun. Great for you all!! thanks for sharing

Yvonne, are you certified and accredited in raffia.  I wouldn't want your raffia confiscated while crossing the border.  Betty

Lois, your daffynition made me laugh.  Good one.  Betty

Cheryl-Anne, yes I think we could all pose for a group shot.  Next time you post on AR.  Betty

I totally agree with you Jaynee.  Have you blogged in the new group Real World Staging.  It's for stagers just getting started or those that want to be stagers.  I think they would like what you have to say.  Betty

Terry, honestly I've sent it three times and to be honest it wasn't that funny the first time I sent it.  Ah ha, maybe that's why it has ended up in the cyber space graveyard.  It went something like this:  Terry what you think is missing from the table is there, it's just hidden like my sister.  Betty

Rhonda, do you have something like this going in Glastonbury?  I really enjoyed the lunch and I know we will be going it again soon.  Betty

Hey Betty, its kind creepy that I'm not getting your emails.  Given that the government here is reading our emails and tapping our phones.  I'm bothered that your emails are from out of the country and they might be being intercepted.  I'm going to send you an email and reply to it and see what happens.  PEACE

Thanks, Trendy Betty....I'll stop by Real World Staging soon.

Cheers! from DC...

Jaynee, I think I enjoy being 'trendy' - although don't ask my daughters if it's true because their answers would give all away.  I would love to visit DC...one of these years.  Betty

(09/14/07 12:08AM) — Betty Haney

Terry, I hope you got my email explaining what a 'doofus' I was.  Imagine sending your replies to yourself...almost funny except at my age it may mean something.  LOL  Betty

YES Betty it does mean something.  It means you are not drinking enough Liquid Aloha!
