Mt. Fuji Steakhouse in Hillburn, NY Says, “Irashaimase” (Welcome) to Japanese Peace and Tranquility Where You Least Expect to Find it

Visible from commuter traffic's rush and flow on the NYS Thruway (I-87), atop a privately owned mountain, a single orange flag waves above a mysterious edifice. This is Hillburn, New York's Mt. Fuji Steakhouse, one of three Mt. Fuji hibachi restaurants located in the New York, New Jersey area.

Accessible from Exit 15A of the NYS Thruway, and nestled on its own 60 acres, Mt. Fuji Steakhouse provides a unique dining and entertainment experience.

Lavish landscaping and architectural features distinguish the grounds of Mt. Fuji, and that is just on the outside. On the inside unique decor abounds, and the glass walled dining room provides majestic views of the sylvan Ramapo Valley.

Come in, remove your shoes, take an offered warm washcloth to cleanse your hands, and leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind. Give yourself up to the calm relaxing Japanese atmosphere of Mt. Fuji Steakhouse. Enjoy traditional Japanese music as you dine and gaze through a wall of glass toward never ending traffic as it flows silently along the bustling highway far, far below.

A juicy steak and good atmosphere is most welcome right now. =).

Although, I've never been there, I've heard many positive things about this restaurant.

I love Mt Fuji.  It is so much fun to watch the chef prepare the food in front of you.  Great place to bring the kids.  They get such a kick out of it.
