Les Beans Coffee is a bohemian utopia just North of Downtown Lake Worth Florida. In the play (and movie) Rent there is a great song called La Vie Bohème. It is a salute to the "Bohemian" lifestyle of artists and the coffee houses where they perform and exhibit their works. Since moving down to South Florida, I felt that coffee meant Starbucks and that was about it. Then I had a client introduce me to Les Beans Coffeehouse in Lake Worth, Florida.
There you'll find a wide array of wonderful coffees that are all Organic and Fair Trade Certified. Their featured coffee is Café Femenino, an organic, Fair Trade coffee grown exclusively by a women’s coffee cooperative in Peru.
Les Beans Coffeehouse also has a stage where they host local and regional musicians. You can find their performance calendar on their MySpace page.
During the day, Les Beans Coffee is a great place to meet for business or pleasure. With Wi-Fi access and comfortable surroundings this is a great place to escape to in the quaint and kitchy Downtown Lake Worth Florida.

I watched a show about the fair trade thing down in south america. Pretty interesting....so we ran out and bought the ones that had the stamp and said organic :)

David, Good post. I remember you telling me how impressed you where with this place. It sounds great
Dan it seems that everybody has been to Starbucks except me. I think it might be because I am to cheap to pay those kind of prices for a cup of coffee, but this place sounds interesting, so if I ever make it down there I might part with money to try their coffee :)
Sally - they have a Kona blend for you Hawaiians!
Tom - start the day w/my dose
Matt - thanks... now you can find it and get a cup yourself
George - yeah... Starbucks is pricey and doesn't have the same ambiance Let me know when you're coming and I'll meet you there for a Coffee and a Talk
David, I remember seeing "Fair Trade" on Jay's Back Porch blog and hadn't a clue what it meant. Now I do thanks to your link.

P.S. Do you think these guys can give Starbucks a run for their money?
Hi David-coffee runs through my veins. I love seeing new coffee shops pop up. I don't care for starbucks that much. I love the atmosphere of the smaller coffee shops and in most instances their coffee is better. Might have to check it out sometime when I am down there! Thanks David and I appreciate you commenting on my post.
