Clean Up Sacramento County

Dead lawnHave Homeowners left their houses and their homes are bringing the value of your neighborhood down?

Have you figured out that the home with brown grass is a Foreclosure or Bank Owned?

Have you noticed that no one seems to be taking care of that house next door or down the street?

Is there a For Sale sign that says Bank Owned and the grass is brown and weeds are growing?

There is finally some help coming! Sacramento County has finally gotten the message that something needs to be done. This blithe is hurting neighborhoods. Homeowners are speaking up and their voices are being heard.

Real Estate home values are down, Sacramento County is sending out revised tax bills lowering taxes by 10% for those who purchased their homes as early as 2005 (which won't be enough of a change so you need to call and get it lowered)

Since Sacramento County will be losing money with the current lowering of Real Estate value in housing, the Sacrament County officials don't want to see them continue to go down due to irresponsible home owners that are not taking care of their property.

Yes, that means the Banks who have foreclosed on homes in the Sacramento area and have taken a laxidaysical attitude about the houses that they now own. Fines will be issued to Homeowners,Lenders and Banks. For further information about this, you will be redirected to the full article at Sacramento Real Estate and Luxury Homes.

Hi Gena :-)   Yes, you are right!  I have seen many of those homes around this area.  Sure would be nice to get a little Tax break!

By the way...I would love to be able to do some of your Title and Escrow work.  I have been in the Sacramento area since 1981 in this business.  I can do Title Nationwide & every County in CA.  If you would like another resouce, I would be happy to help out.

Gena, another thing that is happening is...there is a home in my subdivision where the homeowner was evicted from the Sheriff. The furniture, etc was put out on the lawn and curb and the owner took what they wanted and now the rest of it is just sitting there. What an eye soar. The neighbors said they have called the town but the town said they are not responsible for the expense of removing the debris.

Daryn, yes it plagues a lot of areas and I will keep you in mind.

Chuck, be proactive and contact your City Council members letting them know that this devalues a neighborhood and will come back to bite them. Money talks!

The dead grass is a giveaway, especially out here. -Charles

Gena,

I keep reading posts about all the real estate foreclosures situations around the country.  I guess we are blessed around my area because we just haven't seen a dramatic increase in Davenport, Iowa.

It's good that your municipalities are staying on top of this.

Lucky :)

Charles, definitely a sure sign!

Lucky, thank heavens they are going to stand up to this. It's really out of control. You can only imagine the properties that have pools that are left behind. This will certainly help and perhaps if the Banks have to pay for the water and electricity, they'll be a bit more congenial towards looking and accepting offers.

You are most lucky, Lucky that Foreclosures are not the prevalent in Davenport, Iowa.

There are quite a few eye sores around the Daytona Beach area too. Pea green pools, knee high grass, broken windows.  I would hate to have to look at that if I lived next door to it! The taxation here in Volusia was one of issues that put people over the edge. Getting alot of listing calls from people who just can't make the tax bill.

Janis, Marty & Mike, yes taxes are a problem for people in some areas and without legislation to keep it under control, folks on a fixed income are sometimes displaced. It's a shame.

I am so thankful that our County Supervisors have seen the light and will not tolerate the lack of responsibility that is happening with these foreclosures and the banks.
