Salt Lake Magazine and Utah Style and Design

I don't yet know quite what to think of Salt Lake Magazine and Utah Style and Design.  My first impression of each was that they exuded superficiality.  The multi-million dollar homes and model searches seemed a little - I don't know - cheesy.

On second look, I've found that despite their flaws they actually do have some good content that a Utah resident can really use.  I suppose one's opinion of the magazines depends on what they are reading them for.  Some might pick them up to view the very best and finest of what Utah has to offer.  Some may be interested in learning about something new to do.  I don't really know what my purpose is in reading them, except that I work in the real estate industry and I like to keep informed of what happens here.

My opinion is still being shaped then, so I'll keep reading.  Have you read them?  If so, what do you think about how they portray Utah?  What do you like or dislike about them?
