A Taste of the Arts in Weston -Friday, October 5, 8:30 p.m.

The Arts Council of Greater Weston kicks off their season with an ideal way to learn about the Arts Council and their upcoming events. Come mingle with local artists, poets, photographers, sculptors, performers, musicians and city officials. Featuring a display of artwork, silent auction, live entertainment, dessert and coffee reception. FREE- Residents and visitors of Weston  are welcome.

Weston Regional Health Park will be holding it's 4th annual Hispanic heritage health fair. The fair focuses on educating the Hispanic community in obtaining good health. This bilingual event offers something for everyone including several types of health screenings, health lectures, health plans for the uninsured, kid attractions, child ID finger printing, chair massages, clowns, music, fitness demonstrations, FREE food and much more. This event is going to take place on Saturday, October 6th from 10 am to 2 pm at Weston Regional Health Park which is located at 2300 N. Commerce Parkway. For more information, call 954-389-1944

"Practice Your Escape Plan"

During the month of October, Weston's Broward Sheriffs Office Fire Rescue units will be visiting various Weston elementary schools to teach children the importance of fire safety education-"Practice Your Escape Plan" Weston Fire Rescue will be providing presentations on how to identify and practice an escape plan.
