And then I will be done with it :)
There has been several in depth reports in the Las Vegas Review Journal. Y'all know I am not a big fan of the media, but these are
some pretty detailed reports outlining many of the problems we are facing right now.
I highly recommend that homeowners and renters in the Las Vegas, NV Valley read the three part series dated from Oct 14-16, 2007.
Some of the highlights talk about (the same things I have been talking about!):
Not any new stuff than I have been talking about at all. While I was lead to believe this weekend that maybe this stuff isn't widespread, I think the proof is there now that it is. This is a great reference guide for any of the above situations that I mentioned that you may be in. The police department is reportedly doing a ton of investigating on fraud right now.
We cannot ignore these problems or it will just get worse. We need to face them and be proactive.
There, I have closure!

I echo your "now is the time for investors to buy". I've actually been blessed with sellers that have equity and price to sell. They're beating the pants off of forclosures and short sales. It's like applause in a theater. Eventually, someone will start clapping and the silence will be broken. The rest of the audience will join in.
Renee, I like your "be proactive" sentiment. Now IS the time to buy in the Las Vegas Valley.
Good selling!

Renee, Great info and I look forward to future posts about this. The crooks come out when people are in trouble. Can you say FLIPPERS and Double Escrow's. Heck they are doing seminars about it at the casinos.
Renee, nice informative post. Thank you. What I find suprising..well, perhaps not so suprising, is that the articles and concerns are echoed across the country.
I also admire the way you stay on top of the market in the Las Vegas area. You are well informed, obviously educate yourself daily on what is going on in your market area, and your clients are surely blessed to have you representing them.
Hi Renee, I agree tis the season to be investing... our market is definately going to blow wide open soon and I have been keeping a sharp look on homes that have been on the market a looooonnnggggg time.
Stay proactive..its all we've got......Mike Norvell Sr
