What a day

I have looked at this and several other sites for some time now. I finally decided to land here..

On my way to an inspection today I got side tracked by a tornado in downtown Pensacola. Lots of debris and rescue vehicles. I couldn't get to my destination so we rescheduled for the first of next week. Now that I'm home I have seen on the news what happened.

Welcome to the south and ActiveRain

Welcome Jim to Active Rain.  There is so much knowledge included in these blogs that are very useful to our personal lives as well as our business.

Hi Jim,

I hope the tornado won't stop you from getting online and becoming addicted to AR.  Did you get some good pictures?  Post them in a BLOG  when you have time.

Aloha - The Hunter

It is a way of life but it is a great life - Florida that is!

Jim--Welcome to Active Rain! More fun than being in a tornado that is for certain.

Jim,

Most people here would say you made a great choice. Welcome to Active Rain. In this newbie group we have a lot of information on the sidebar that you can read. It's not your usual FAQ, but rather a list compiled from many talented bloggers here at AR of all kinds of technical instructions, do's and don'ts, etc. Be sure to check it out.

Jim,

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you as an "Assocation." Raises my social status to be seen with you for sure!

I heard about the Tornado today. Wow! That's too close for comfort! Glad you're okay.

Maybe lunch one day when you're not fighting fires and rescuing damsels in distress?

Tom

PS My oldest son is getting married next week. Where did the years go?

Welcome Jim,You have for a real name what I would use as a fake when younger for a Pseudonym.

I see you have a lot of experiance and can no doubt contribute some wisdom should you choose to hang around.

My thanks to those who responded. I am looking forward to more communications in the near future

Hi Jim and a very southern welcome to you.  I was a little bit scared that day too.  I did end up going over to Gulf Breeze for a client though.  I don't recommend anyone doing that nor shall I do it again.

Hey Jim: Sorry I haven't been buy before now to give you a big Texas Howdy and Welcome. I know you will enjoy AR and of course all the great inspectors. I'll be looking for more of your blogs and if you need anything; you will find everyone willing to answer questions and "give advice". You will find AR's get a little carried away from time to time with comments but it's all in fun. We are all here to share experiences and knowledge.
