Some Great Concerts Coming to D.C. Area

The D.C. area is one of the top regions in the country for culture.

If you like museums, there are tons of great ones and some terrific current and upcoming exhibits.

If your taste in entertainment leans more towards live music concerts, all the great shows make a stop on the tour in the D.C. area.  Besides for New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and maybe Boston, Washington D.C. ranks as one of the top venues for live music.

Virginia, Maryland and D.C. all boast great places to see a music show.

Here are some of the upcoming concerts and venues from which to choose:

Verizon Center:  601 F Street, NW D.C.

The Police are back on tour featuring Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers and stop in D.C on November 5th.  See this classic rock troupe.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.  Who doesn't love "The Boss"?  He comes to town on November 11 and 12th.

Van Halen tickets for November 1st are already sold out, but you may be able to find them through a ticket broker.

Music Center at Strathmore: 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda, MD

Three Dog Night plays classic hits like "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)" and "Joy to the World" also known as the Jeremiah is a Bullfrog song.  They stop in to Bethesda on Friday, November 2nd

DAR Constitution Hall:  18th Street between C and D Streets, NW D.C.

George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic with special guest War host a "Funky Halloween Jam" on Halloween Night, October 31st at 7:30 p.m.  I saw them years ago back in college when they were P-Funk and boy do they put on a show!

Neil Young sings with a heart of gold on November 15th and 16th.  I may try to get some tickets to Neil.  Buy two tickets and get a free copy of Neil Young's latest CD.

While the summer concert season is now a memory, some great shows are on the way.
