NV., Las Vegas: Population Growth - You Be the Judge

Clark County Comprehensive Planning did a survey and according to population estimates made the population in Clark County, NV grew to 1,912,654 in 2006:

  • Over the 2005 estimate of 1,815,705 -this reflects a population growth of 5.3%.
  • In 2007 population was expected to grow by 3.8 percent and another 4.6 percent in 2008. Bringing Clark County's population to 1,985,335 in 2007 and 2,076,661 in 2008.

According to a new report from the county demographer, population growth in Clark County, NV appears to be slowing.

  • The report found resident population growth fell from about 5% to just less than 3% from July 2006 to July 2007 in Clark County.
  • Mesquite showed the strongest growth with a nearly 7% population increase over the previous year.
  • North Las Vegas grew by more than 4%.
  • Henderson moved up by almost 4%.
  • Las Vegas was still in the running with less than 2%.

There are alot of people moving here!  That means they need a place to ive.

Mary, that really sounds like a decent population growth.  Rey is right, they are all going to need homes.

Mary - I had heard that there is a huge population growth in Las Vegas.  Seems to be the place that many want to move!  There sure is plenty to do in Vegas.
