The Deals are Booming for Realtors Selling High End Properties (in Lake Tahoe)The headline reads: "High-end Home Market Exhibits Robust Sales" - does that add fuel to the camp stove fire that's keeping your business going; does that deflate your mood; does that encourage you; does that tickle your imagination; does that inspire you? It really depends doesn't it. Just what do we really want out of our real estate practice? Income, flexible lifestyle, adventure, pride in helping others? You name it. So here in the LakeTahoe (California and Nevada) area of Incline Village (generally considered the North shore of the lake), things couldn't be better...for sellers and Realtors. Singlefamily homes medium price increased over a year ago to an average selling price today of $1.2 million. However, if you're looking for a real deal in the Lake Tahoe area, you can shop around in Tahoe City, South Shore, and Truckee where prices fell by 8, 9, and 8 percent respectively. Just below Lake Tahoe in the Reno area, the price of single family homes dropped on average by 7% to $310,000 (median price), so there are bargains here as well. Isn't that cool, but the really hot market in these fickle times in the Reno area appears to be condominiums selling for half a million dollars or more. What a market; I'm glad we're in it for the "harvest" (through good and tough times...never say bad times). |
