Naples, Fl. in a positive light!

I was recently asked to write an article as a media opportunity; the editor emailed me back and said he liked what I had to say and was going to use my work in an upcoming article. This is what I stated about why people should buy a home in Naples, Fl.

I have been in Real Estate in Naples for 7 years and lived in Naples for 26 years. We were definitely an undervalued market in 2005 and then, due to a lot of media hype and excitement, Naples prices went too far in the other direction! We are now back to where the pricing needs to be and there are some great deals here as far as waterfront properties, golf course communities and more. The media loves to say negative things about the real estate market because that is what sells their periodicals! The smart realtors are the ones who will be left in this market due to maintaining relationships with sellers and buyers, keeping people calm when they feel panicked due to another bad article, and being able to tell others about the true benefits of being able to live in Naples.

Naples is a beautiful town, with incredible soft, white, sandy beaches and warm Gulf waters. There is culture here-The Philharmonic Center for the Arts, the local (amateur) Sugden Theatre, Golf Courses, fine dining, shopping, water sports, tennis and more. You can be as busy as you want to be, or simply relax and enjoy everything the resorts here have to offer.

The long term strengths of Naples are the great neighbourhoods, the freedom to live on/near the water and the beach, the fact that many baby boomers are buying now to retire later on and encouraging their friends and family to do the same. Naples has a great local airport for those owning private jets and the large SW Regional Airport has access to all other states. We are incredibly lucky to have the culture here, the great tourist industry, be able to attract great tennis and golfing events to this area and to maintain a town that is clean, neat and beautiful.

New people come to Florida and Naples for many reasons-the weather, the beach, the sporting activities and the fact that this is a terrific "get-away" for many who have second homes here. Naples is a fabulous "resort town" to come to and is also a wonderful place to live. The schools are good, the climate is excellent, pollution is low and raising a family here is an enviable thing!

Naples needs to be recognized for what it is; the media keeps "bashing" our town, but they don't realize that in the long run they are ultimately hurting themselves. Keep putting real estate down and the realtors will cease placing ads in your newspapers and magazines. We believe in our town, we love it here and we know that future visitors will see the many benefits to living here also.
