Mother Lode Events 10/26/07

The Mother Lode Art Association will be hosting its 55th annual Juried Art Show Friday through Sunday at the Sonora Opera Hall. A reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The show hours will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The admission is free. There well be a prise drawing for an original painting by Barb Young. This Friday at Tuolumne Memorial Veterans Hall in Tuolumne, Guitarist Greg Noll will serve as master of ceremonies, as Menace Productions of Sonora presents "The Unity Show," a drug and alcohol-free punk rock concert, at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5 p.m. All ages are welcome and admission is $6. More than 10 bands will appear, including Serated, False Freedom and Konami Code. For more information, call 728-7216.

For those of you who enjoy smooth vocals, Josh Pfeiffer will perform later on Friday evening at the Black Oak Casino. Josh is a Summerville High School graduate and will perform at a CD release party at 9 p.m. Admission is free to guests 21 and over.
