It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Season!!!

What are the signs Season is coming to us South Floridians???

It starts with fewer rain clouds. In the summer it rains almost everyday here so when the rain becomes more infrequent...you know season isn't too terribly far away.

Have you ever tried to holiday shop when it's 85 degrees outside? It takes some getting used to let me tell you. There's no blistering cold howling wind. You can actually break a sweat at Waterside Shops...I know, I've seen me do it....I prefer it though.

Another sign season is right around the corner...these:

and this:

Alot of people have their cars hauled from where ever they live normally so you know it's either the beginning of season or the end of season depending on which direction they're going. I don't know about anyone else but on a normal year I am equally happy to see them coming and going. Of course last year I was very sad to see them go since not very many people purchased but I can already tell this year is going to be different. People have already started emailing and calling with their itineraries and there hasn't been near the stalling to purchase as I heard last year. YAEE! There's no doubt the roads get busier during season in Naples, Florida but our streets are empty compared to the east coast.

Another Seasonal sign:

You can order these beauties right off the dock in Old Naples or you can have the best ones in town at Trulucks. They do Monday, all you can eat claws...seriously something you can't miss if you're here.

Another sign: I went to work out at the community center at Pelican Bay this morning. The parking lot was full and so were the tennis courts. The tennis club is obviously in full swing compared to nearly empty just a few short weeks ago!

and last but not least my favorite sign for this post:

Everybody is so happy who has just traveled from up north. It's funny to live in a town where all of a sudden you are consumed by vacationers and snowbirds. I don't mean the Disney World type of vacationer where they're tired and cranky and tummy ache troubled due to all the crap they just ate. I mean the...ohhhhitwas 46 degreeswhenwe got on theairplane todayandthesun feelso goodthat our sentences soundfunnyandwe areso happyto behere!

It's fun to live in Naples, Florida and for some, even more fun to live here part time. If you want help accomplishing either, I am happy to assist!

One word of caution. They just passed the no cel phones while driving unless you have hands free! It's expensive too. First ticket is something like $200.00 and goes up for each offense. Don't forget your sunscreen and your headset!

Shannon,

Glad to see you posted a license plate from Louisville (jefferson Co, KY). Hopefully with the change in the season will bring a change in real estate sales.

Sean, I can't believe for the life of me that we won't see some great action this year.  I just got a call today from a gentleman in New Jersey who said that he would've waited a few more years but he's so scared he's going to miss out on a great deal now he's going to go ahead.  Will be down in December...that's one of 5 buyer contacts I've received in the last week!  YAHOOO!

I hope these seasonal visitors come with plans to buy a little piece of your great state.

Shannon, you should put an Ontario plate on there also. Don't forget about the loony being 1 to 1 to our dollar. The phone has picked up and I'm looking forward to season. Nice positive post, that's what we need.

Scott

Shannon - I have the suntan ready. Once the kids are out of the house, I hope I will be one of those license plates.

Shannon, so nice to see your smiling face on AR again!  And your smiley faces.  Thought I'd take the moment to say "howdy" since you are more than likely going to be swamped for the next few months.  Head down to Naples, FL and give Shannon a call, folks!  She may be busy, but she has time for YOU!

I like the hands-free idea! Yes the seasons seem to come and go a lot quicker these days!

SHANNON:  I have to say that I never thought of Naples as vacation spot, but you make it sound so appealing that it makes me want to plan a trip there.  Maybe that will be our destination when we go to Disney next time.  We've decided that we can only do Disney if we have a place to unwind from it afterwards.

Oh, those snowbirds...it's good to hear about it from the perspective of someone who actually lives there!

Enjoy the next few months and sell, sell, sell!

VICKY;  It's looking really good so far.  Time will tell for sure.  Thanks for your comments!

SCOTT;  Thanks Scott!  You're right I totally forgot Ontario, that's where my buyers are coming from this weekend.  DUH!!!

FAINA;  I hope you are one of those license plates soon too!  We're ready for you when you are!  Thanks for stopping by.

PAUL;  It's good to hear from you my friend!  I am getting really busy but I don't want to abandon my AR friends regardless.  I will make a special effort for sure.  That's what Active Rain Addicts are all about, right??? :)

CHARLES;  At least in my neck of the woods buyers seem to be more interested in actually getting something done this year.  YAHOOO!

ADAM;  You have a place in Naples to stay next time you go to Disney.  You will really like it here!  It is the perfect place to visit! :)  Great to hear from you!

KELLY;  That's a deal Kelly!  Hey you being from IL. could be a snowbird...come on girl...all your clients are planning on coming anyway.  We'll all hang out at the beach together! :)

THOMAS;  Hellllllloooo Tom!  So good to hear from you. I am a happy girl right now!  It's amazing the attitude change you get when you go from living in a place that nobody knows to living in a place where people want to buy!  Yaaaeeeee!

I'll be in Florida for Christmas...my in-laws have a place in Clermont! (I think I'd rather be in Naples, no offense to anyone who lives in Clermont) but hanging out on the beach sounds wonderful!

Kelly,  I don't even know where Clermont is.  Maybe you and the inlaws should meet me for lunch in Naples while you're close by.  Maybe we can intice them to move! :)

Trust me...you don't want to meet my inlaws! LOL! Just kidding...<furtive look over shoulder>

AHAHAH  That's pretty good Kelly.  Let me know when they're coming, we'll hook them up with my inlaws and then you and I will hit the beach...everyone wins...well at least we do! :)

Shannon, how I remember those times. I use to hate to see the multiple tags start showing up as I started my trek into work.

I am so sure there's a ton of New Jersey plates heading your way..................  can you keep some of them please

Absolutely not!  But we will try to send them back happier and nicer than they were before they left! :)
