Thank you for checking out my October real estate market report for Sarpy County area, including Papillion, La Vista, Bellevue, Springfield Gretna and West Sarpy in Omaha, NE.
Active Listings, as of November 6, 2007 and Sold Data from October 1, 2007 to November 6, 2007. Months supply is the number of active listings divided by the number of sold listings.
With the days getting shorter and temperatures falling, so is the real estate market. However, Sarpy County is not like other areas in the country. Yes, we have seen some depreciation in house values. But we have not seen reductions like Las Vegas, Phoenix or California. The slow down this Fall is typical for the time of year due to the coming holiday season, but if you're thinking of buying a home now is a great time to find a deal. Unfortunately, if you are selling a home, now is not a time that you should expect to get top dollar.
