Happy Veteran's Day - A Boost to Home Loans for Oregon Vets

Many heartfelt thanks to our many Veterans who have made their sacrifices in order to protect us all. Sunday and Monday we will honor you, showing you the appreciation you have earned.

Good News For Oregon Veterans! A bill increasing the funding for a low interest loan program for Oregon Vets (and Vets in Alaska, California, Texas and Wisconsin) was passed in the House this week, and is expected to be approved in the Senate, as well. This will increase Oregon's bond limits to $100 million in 2010, which is four times the present limit of $25 million cap that is set under our present law.

Our many returning Veterans from Afganistan and Iraq may be able to find opportunities to purchase homes upon their return. Now, we'll have more tools in our chest to meet their needs.
