A time to give thanks!

This week is a very special time for us in our country. We celebrate "Thanksgiving."

I'll never forget my son, when he was little said, "So, all we do for Thanksgiving is eat dinner?" In a little boy's eyes, not waking up to a mound of gifts under a Christmas tree, or hunting for a basket filled with treats, made this holiday seem a little less special. As my children have grown, they have learned that Thanksgiving is one of the more special holidays that we share.

There is no hustle and bustle to get tons of shopping and decorating done. It's a much more relaxed pace. There is not a ton of stops and craziness, just a large family gathering and fun stories of years passed. My children have learned to enjoy this holiday the way adults do, at an early age, because they understand the value of family.

This year we have a lot to be thankful for... comment or write about it.... it's great to tell everything the things that mean the most to you and to share it for the rest of us to open our hearts and minds to all the good that is out there!
