Help Make it a Merry Christmas for Dogs in Need | "Homes to Howl For" | Roswell, Georgia

doghouse"Winter's chill doesn't just nip at human noses," according to Points North magazine, which ran a blurb in its December issue about an organization in Roswell, Georgia, called "HOMES TO HOWL FOR" that is collecting dog houses for outdoor dogs that need shelter.

For the second year now, they are collecting new and gently-used doghouses and dogloos, as well as other doggie items, such as water pails, harnesses, collars, chew toys and more.  Click here for a flyer! Donations are tax-deductible.

doghouse2"Homes to Howl For" collect doghouses throughout the year and delivers them to dogs in need during the winter. Based in Cobb County, Georgia, they have also placed doghouses in Barrow, Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Forsyth and Fulton counties. They placed 50 doghouses in 2006! This seems like a really neat conceot.  I hope that it does very well  Weneed more events like this.
