It's been a looong week..... so here's something utterly random and fuzzy, too! Her name is Piper, and she's a rescued shelter rat!
She's a little mouthy when dinner's due, but she's a completely adorable, well mannered mutt! C'mon, how can you not smile when you see a pup as cute as this!
Not only that, but she plays well with other dogs, so she gets to enjoy lots of trips to the dog park!
She came from the tri-county animal shelter in Hughesville, MD, and if you are interested in finding a great family pet, I highly recommend you look there and the Humane Society of Waldorf, as well!

A person would have to have a heart of ice and stone to not smile when the see a face like that. Puppies rule.
Great dog. I have had six dogs in my life. All but one came from a shelter.
What a little cutie! It's wonderful that you adopted from the shelter, you are going to have an extra special Christmas because of sharing your home with Piper!
I grew up with a german shepherd. He was my best friend.
Awww, what a cutie. I hope you have as much fun with your new poochie as I have with mine. I have a Shephard mix 'rescued' dog too. Her name is Neisa....
She's beautiful! I hope you find her a great family.
Absolutely precious. I hope someone decides that they really want her bad and spoils her.
Jonathan,
You have a heart of gold my friend. Only Angels go to the shelters for their pets.
Take a look at my little Pekey Boy Ozzy. When I lost my other little dogs to cancer in 10 months apart I promised myself that I would only rescue.
The address below is my signature on all my emails. There are a lot of wonderful people out there who are unaware of the best little dogs in the world, at shelters. I donate at least $100 to Jan Collins from every commission check. DOGS RULE, I will never be without one.
Cut and past the second address below so see my beautiful but totally blind little ozzy. He's a doll. He came from a puppy mill in Indiana.

German Shepherds re great dogs nd Piper looks like a winner. Good luck.
Jonathan, you are too cool for taking another rescue doggie! Good for you. We should follow suite, but our puppy Ginger is too spoiled and we have our hands full. Great photo and darling puppy. Happy New Year and Gog Bless you for taking that puppy!
Jonathan- Piper is beautiful. What a great Christmas present. I got one too at my local shelter. Her name is Olive and she was my Christmas present.
Jennifer- Thanks for stopping by, send me some photos of Olive, I'd love to see her!
Jonathan,
Here she is with my older dog, Courtney.
It feels like the family is complete again.
Jennifer, they're adorable! It so great to hear about so many Realtor's like yourself with such BIG hearts!
