Dorothy it looks very nice. Most of the time when people get bargains they tell what they paid. I have a second sale friend and she always says "my entire outfit cost $xxx".
I disagree with Vicky. I think it's more fun to have a FABULOUS room that people THINK cost a boat-load and to just smile and appreciate the attention. :-) Thanks for the post. Best wishes for a Fabulous and Prosperous New Year! Be Safe!
Sorry Vicky, but I agree with Gregory. The secret to a great decorated room is to purchase one or two expensive pieces, then redo flea market finds to fill in the rest of the decor.
I have taken old beside tables, redid them, painted them a creamy white, purchased new knobs, then added mirror to tops and drawers....Voila...instant updated and current decor at a fraction of the cost. The cabinets cost me about $160 for both, start to finish. New bedside tables, in the same design would have been over $800 for both.
We do all of this stuff in our boutique! It's so much fun. That's also why we get into home staging. We have the vision, the experience, and decor sense to work with clients furniture, instead of having to bring in from the outside. Alot less expensive...it save the clients money and the house sells faster because it looks great.
Thanks for the posts! Having a major snowstorm in Montreal right now. But it looks beautiful. ;-))
Wishing you a wonderful and prosperous new year!
cheers!
