Craig - When is the race? It's a marathon? How far... Kudos to you!!!!
Hi Lindsey, The race is February 16th. It's a marathon, 26.2 glorious miles! They also have a half-marathon. The Grand Strand that time of year is perfect for running, nice and cool, but not too cold. It's also flat, so it *should* be a fast race... as long as I pace correctly... Thanks for the comment and thanks for stopping by.
Wow! Good luck with that!!!! One day I'd like to do a 5k.... a 26 miler seems so big to me!
You can do it! One step at a time... I'm working with Candice Donofrio, Julie Neerings and several others. Candice is planning to run a 5k in Las Vegas in February and Julie is planning to run the 2008 Salt Lake City 5k in April.
I just took a quick look. The Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon is October 5, 2008. They've also got a 5k on October 4, 2008. How about the 5k?
Hello Craig! This is wonderful and how exciting. I have found a site that is also going to keep me on track for that goal. Thanks to you. I will post about it next week. You are such a great example to all of us.
Hi Julie, good, good, good! I keep a calendar and write down my training schedule, how I felt, morning weight, etc... on my desk. It stares me down. My coach, Mad Dog Mike, develops my schedule and helps keep my training consistent and focused.
The perseverance and personal sacrifice of Marines, other Service Members and their families are the example we should all follow.
