Manatee County FloridaOur Manatee County, Florida real estate market continues to show slow improvement. That is welcomed news!

However we are not out of the woods yet. Economist Hank Fishkind predicts the number of homes for sale in Manatee County won't return to normal until the middle of 2009, when the market is expected to finally hit bottom.

Interesting Dan, it seems that the higher-end properties are moving which indicates to me that these folks are not as affected by local market conditions.  Thanks, good stats.

Those were pretty detailed reports....wonderful. Ours picked up just a smidgen on condos but a smidgen none the less:)  The singles are stable. No change for a couple mos. Thanks for the stats on your area...I like to learn about other areas too :)

Dan I don't know about you but I'll take "steady" or "slightly improving" over TANKING any day! Great report -- KUDOS to you.

A slow improvement is still an improvement.  Beats the other option.

Yaaaah!  Dan--that's what we like to see and hear--I'll take improvement, slow and steady--anytime

Hey Dan.  Looks like the sweet spots are in the $150-250K and $1-3M ranges.  Which ones would you rather be working?  Nice to see the UP and DOWN directions on the right categories.  Looking forward to more positive news this year.  Great info, thanks.

Wayne - I agree the wealthy are less affected by markets like this.

Sally - I've done these reports for years.  Thanks.

Ken, Jen, John - THanks for your comments.  I agree that slow and steady and improving is pretty good news.

Mike - You actually reviewed the reports as I can tell.  Thanks.

BY THE WAY GUYS.. If you don't know Mike Tullio who commented above.  Please visit his blog. I know him personally and he's new to AR at my invitation.  (Mike, You owe me)
