Military Transferees Heading to the Rock Island Arsenal!

Rock Island Arsenal by Lucky Lang

Hello, from the Quad-Cities! The Rock Island Arsenal is a beautiful military base located in the middle of the Mississippi River! With the Rock Island Arsenal and regional headquarters located here, there are many magnificent government quarters that sit right on the Mississippi river front.

The Quad-Cities is a beautiful river community that is rich in heritage, culture, and quality of life! It is located approximately halfway between Chicago and Des Moines on I-80 at the Mississippi River. Terrain varies from flat corn fields to heavily wooded ravines and views from beautiful rolling hills to scenic river bluffs that are one of a kind! Schools are always high in national ranking as we pride ourselves in educating our children. Cost of living is relatively low primarily because of the great values in our real estate! Come visit us and you'll see why Quad-Cities, USA, is ranked at the top of many national polls as a great place to live and raise a family!

Retired Col. Thomas J. Agnor, Jr. and wife Dorsey

Call me for your private tour of the Quad-Cities! My parents are official ambassadors for the area and I have lived here all my life, married my wife (who was the Commander of the Rock Island Arsenal's daughter), and we have raised our family with great mid-western values!

To those of you in my real estate family, please allow me the opportunity to welcome your clients relocating to the Quad-Cities!

To those of you in the military looking to transfer here in the Quad-Cities, please allow me the opportunity to welcome you and assist you in your relocation process!

Thanks! I look forward to meeting all of you!

Lucky:  Did that lovely couple name you "Lucky" ?  Or is it a nickname?  You certainly seem to be a lucky man to have such sweet parents, and I love the way you spoke about your wife and raising your kids with great mid-west values.  I have to admit that it sounds like a great life.  If I ever have a referral to your area and Rock Island Arsenal, I would certainly refer them to you!  God Bless!

Lucky, the military is a great bunch to work with.

Lisa,

Yes, the Mississippi River splits at the top and rejoins at the bottom to form the Rock Island Arsenal!

It is very large, very beautiful, and at this time of year, very cool in more ways than one!

Take care,

Lucky :)

Actually, the couple in the photo above are my wife's parents.  He was the Commander of the Rock Island Arsenal.  He is now retired and living in Austin, Texas.  Her mother passed away three years ago.

My parents, to the right, are the ones that named me Lucky Alan Lang.  My dad had a good friend whose name was Lucky and he liked the name so.....................here I am!

My parents are both still living in Rock Island, Illinois where they serve as volunteers helping our community!

I just spent the day, yesterday, with a couple from Panama City, FL  that are moving to Davenport, IA!  Their names are Jeff and Beth Hutson.  They have purchased a new construction property in my neighborhood and just listed their home a week ago.  The address is: 2415 DRAGONFLY LANE.  Maybe you can sell it for them!  I'll definitely keep you in mind for future referrals and I appreciate you offering to do the same.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Frank,

Yes, they certainly are!  My most memorable was helping General McManus relocate to the east coast after his retirement from the Army at the Rock Island Arsenal.

He and his wife were a delight to get to know over a 15 year period that he was stationed at the Rock Island Arsenalonce as Commander of the Arsenal and the second time as Commander of ARCOM (It is like a regional headquarters of several commands that is located here at the Rock Island Arsenal).

Take care,

Lucky :)
