If in fact we have border control, should the owner's have to give up their land?

If we can control our current borders, should the people who own property that extends to the borders of other countries have to voluntarily give up their land to control the border without remuneration? Should they give their property up for free or should they get paid?

It would be nice if they cooperated with the US in their quest to control the US borders, but to what extent.

Should they give it away?  How much money is available to accomodate these people?  Is there any?

What price should they pay? What sacrifices should they make?

I want our borders safe...how are these people to respond?
