The Iowa Deer Classic is just around the corner and I hope you'll come visit the at our booth this year. This years Deer Classic promises to be even better than the 8 previous shows. If you were there last year you remember having to brave a winter storm to get there. Lets hope for better weather this year. With so many things to do for everybody you can bring your family and be assured a full day of fun through the interesting exhibits, shooting tournaments, watching seminar speakers, exhibitors, and concessions.

The Iowa Deer Classic really has something for the entire family so please be sure to bring the wife, kids, nieces, nephews, your brother or anybody you can bring along. If you have never been to the Deer Classic make this your first year and see what makes Iowa so special and different. When it comes to producing trophy whitetail deer Iowa is the place.

Here is the official description of the show.

  • Hundreds of Hunting Merchants & Exhibits -- See and visit with representatives from today's leading hunting and outdoor product and gear manufacturers. Visit with guides and outfitters, archery and firearms dealers, wildlife and conservation organizations, award-winning wildlife artists, taxidermists and more.
  • North America's Top Speakers -- the names you know and respect. We are proud to host many of North America's finest outdoor speakers and television personalities presenting seminars on a wide variety of hunting and outdoor topics. Two expanded main stages will be dedicated to non-stop, continuous programs by North America's leading outdoor speakers!
  • Iowa Whitetail Hall of Fame sponsored by Knight!
    Each year we invite every Boone & Crockett whitetail we know of ever harvested in the State of Iowa to be part of the legendary Iowa Whitetail Hall of Fame. This creates an overwhelming wall of over 100 Boone & Crockett caliber trophies... an amazing tribute to Iowa's quality whitetails.
  • Iowa's Biggest Big Buck Contest -- The biggest bucks taken in the last couple years will be on display for your eyes only. This is the contest all Iowa Hunters are striving to win, with over 340 entrants in 2006! Many different categories to compete in; if you took a trophy whitetail this year we certainly encourage you to enter!
  • 2008 Distinctly Different Peoples Choice Awards! -- Sponsored by U.S. Smokeless Tobacco, Big Buck Contest Entrants age 18 years or older (must have a valid ID) with "Distinctly Different" looking antlers (as determined by our Judges) are eligible for participation in the 2007 Iowa Deer Classic 'Distinctly Different' People's Choice Awards. Classic attendees can cast their ballots for their favorite 'different' whitetail, and U.S. Smokeless will be awarding a Knight Muzzleloading Rifle to the First Place hunter, a Skyline Hunting Suit for Second Place, and an All About Game Hunting Blind for 3rd place. All voters will also be entered into a drawing for a Knight Muzzleloading Rifle! Ballots for voting are available at the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco booth.
  • Crazy non-typicals, drop tine monsters, unicorn bucks and other freaks! Hunters, if you have a whitetail on your wall with a unique, Distinctly Different look, be sure to bring it to the Iowa Deer Classic this year to compete for a Peoples Choice Award! While nearly all of our Big Buck Contest categories are limited to whitetails taken within the last two years, keep in mind that older whitetails can always be entered into our Historical Category. Just $20 entitles you to contest entry AND a Three-Day Pass to the Iowa Deer Classic!
  • Monster Shed Antler Contest -- Hundreds of monster sheds from all across whitetail country will be display for the weekend in this great contest sponsored by the North American Shed Hunters Club! Whitetail sheds can be brought in and entered into our contest for awards and prizes creating a spectacular display showcasing the great finds of shed hunters; a fitting display for a pastime which is so quickly growing in popularity.
  • Door Prizes! Door Prizes! Door Prizes! -- When you purchase your admission ticket you will be given a small door prize slip. Be sure to complete your name, address and phone and toss it into the raffle drum at the entryway to the show. We give out hundreds of dollars in merchandise drawings throughout the weekend!
  • Great Concessions! -- No need to pack a lunch as the Iowa Events Center puts out quite a nice spread for us, from delicious hot and cold sandwiches and snacks to ice cold Bud and Bud Light.
  • Friday Night is now Ladies Night! All ladies will be admitted to the show free on Friday evening! Plus the first 100 people through the door with a paid admission will receive a free gift!
