The Opelika Municipal Park located on Denson Drive in North Opelika, AL is often referred to as Monkey Park (because real monkeys used to be there) just benefitted from a generous grant from the Sams Club opening in Auburn, AL. Lee Ring the Broker at RE/MAX Realty Group and also a member of the Opelika, AL Rotary Club spoke with the generous people at Sams Club and the people at Sams Club have decided to give a grant of $5000 to restore and replace the Rocky Brook Rocket at the park. This will be such a wonderful contribution for the children and families in the Opelika - Auburn, Alabama area. I was fortunate enough to be present when the generous people at Sams awarded this grant and it was truly a very happy occassion. This park is housed with beautiful trees and a great place for the children to play. The park is also wonderful for picnics and during the summer they hold the summer swing concerts.
