Its that week again in Iowa, the week when the Iowa Power Farming Showbrings thousands of farmers and exhibitors together in Des Moines to see the latest and greatest in power farm equipment along with some great seminars. The show will begin on Tuesday Jan 29 and run through Thursday Jan 31.
This years event promises to be bigger than ever with 55 new exhibitors for a total of 555 this year. The event has even had to request additional space from the event center to accommodate the additional exhibitors this year. It is expected that over 16,000 farmers from the 5 state area will attend so with a great week of weather expected in Iowa this week head on our to Des Moines and get your fix of the newest, latest and greatest. I'll be attending the seminars and especially interested in "New Times, New Rules: Taming the Volatility", by Scott Stewart who will talk about the increasing land values in Iowa and learning how to maximize opportunity, while minimizing risk. I'm also very interested in the "Family Farm Issues - A Process that Works", Heartland Financial Resource Group I think this seminar stands to be some of the most valuable information this year. Heartland will discuss the tax advantage planning to include current income tax issues, capital gain tax issues and estate tax planning; wealth management; risk management; long term care concerns; pick a buyer versus forced sale and farm corporation buy-sell processes. Come on out to Des Moines and join the fun. Below is a copy of the seminar schedule for the show this week.
