While our temperatures here in Atlanta warmed up to slightly over 70 degrees (a welcome reprieve from the cold), there's no doubt that home staging a vacant home can provide the much needed warmth!
And, while I typically share before & after pictures, I thought I'd shake things up a bit and share with you the "after" pictures of a home I staged today.
By the way, the home I staged two weeks ago just received an offer for the full asking price. That particular home had been on the market for over a year; staged and offer submitted 2 weeks later! I'll be sharing photos of that home in a future blog so stay tuned.
In the meantime, here are a few pictures of the home I staged today:

Kathy,
Once again a beautiful job. Congratulations on the home you staged a couple of weeks ago. I can't wait to see those "before and afters".
Thanks again for all your help last week. I really do appreciate your time and knowledge.
Another great transformation! Go Kathy! Looks great!
Looks awesome, Kathy! How are you getting the shadows under your pics? I'm lovin the way that looks for the post. =)
Kathy - You take great pictures!
Christine - it was my pleasure to help!
Thank you, Marci!
Abby - it's a drop shadow. There are lots of programs out there that have it. The one I used was from Picnik. I can show you how to do it. It's fast and easy.
Thanks, Andrea. I take a lot of photos and having a nice camera has made all the difference in the world.
Kathy
Kathy, everything you touch turns to SOLD! Just when I think you cannot possibly get any better you raise the bar again. You are a huge credit to this industry.
What a beautiful job!! The house certainly looks like an inviting home now! I love the sofa in the Family Room and the color on the walls - could you give me the name and brand of the paint? CONGRATULATIONS on the sell of the home you staged, also!! I will be looking for your blog pertaining to that. Things ARE heating up in Atlanta.
Jackson - What an incredible compliment. Thank you! Coming from someone with whom I admire so much means so much. Thank you again.
Tracy - I'll have to ask the builder for the wall color. I'm due to stage another of his homes tomorrow so, I'll be sure to ask him then. Thanks for your kind words.
Kathy
Keep up the great job - work like yours give staging a good name!
Just beautiful, Kathy. Of course, we expect nothing less!
Very classy work, Kathy. Like the way you positioned the rug under the sofa grouping.
Kathy
Thanks, Becky. That was a very sweet thing to say! And you too, Michelle. Thank you!
Kathy R - I had that rug positioned the other way and it just didn't look right. Thanks for your kind words.
Kathy
Thanks for sharing! I MISS HOTLANTA! :)
Kathy- Our high temp for today is 38!!! Great job on this home! Love the dining room with the round rug!
Come for a visit, Audrey!
Elaine - It's 35 this morning but... we're suppose to have a high today of 60. I prefer being warm to cold any day.
Kathy
Kudos again! Your work always puts a smile on my face : )
BTW - did you submit for RESA's Staging Idol - 'cuz you should have if you didn't!
Thanks agian for being so generous with sharing!
Susan
Thanks, Susan! I haven't entered yet. I need to make the time (smile).
Kathy
I like the way you nuetralized the room with the cream colors.
