Hernando County and Brooksville signed a fire and rescue mutual aid agreement that should improve service to residents and increase efficiency. The county commissioners approved a plan that essentially tears down jurisdictional boundaries and allows the closest crews to respond to the scene while in the past, requests for assistance were done on a case-by-case basis from the scene.
