HOUSE VALUES RISE IN GREATER BALTIMORE
Statistics prepared by the Metropolitan Regional Information System indicate that house values rose in 2007 over values from 2006 for the Greater Baltimore area. The rise was true for the average value, which increased by 2.30% and for the median value, which incresed by 1.96%. The area consists of Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Harford County, Carroll County, Howard County, and Anne Arundel County. All areas with the exception of Anne Arundel County posted gains in average and median values. The values are shown below:
Baltimore City: Average: 5.99%; Median: 8.97%.
Baltimore County: Average: 2.63%; Median: 2.73%.
Harford County: Average: 1.07%; Median: 0.78%.
Carroll County: Average: 0.67%; Median: 1.52%.
Howard County: Average: 0.58%: Median: 1.30%.
Anne Arundel County: Average: -0.52% Median: -1.16%.
