Fraud is on the rise in real estate and is being evaluated more closely then ever. As a consumer it's important to be aware of what is right and wrong in a real estate transaction. Real estate fraud can be very deep as far as the people that are involved and if you get caught participating, you could be held liable whether you thought you were doing right or wrong. Real estate fraud in any form is bad because of the effect it has on not only other individuals but also the economy. Real estate fraud can artificially inflate prices, it can cause a rise in foreclosures, it makes mortgage insurance premiums go up, and makes it harder and harder for everyone to get loans.
