RE/MAX Executive Realty Hopkinton ~ Homes & Real Estate for sale ~ Bill Gassett

I am a Realtor that is a big fan of Internet marketing. Over 85% of all buyers find their home online. Part of my marketing strategy online includes marketing my homes in the RealBird site.

Below is a map of homes I am marketing in towns around Metrowest Massachusetts including Hopkinton, Milford, Grafton, Upton, Medway, Mendon, Framingham, and Uxbridge. If you click on the homes on the map you will be taken to an individual listing page that gives you all the information on the specific home.

You will notice there is a slide show presentation, video home tour, large pictures of the homes, and detailed descriptions. There are also links to my Metrowest MA Homes website and and blog. There are also links to my most recent blog posts. This is great viral marketing.

Blogging is an under utilized tool that not many Real Estate agents in Massachusetts are taking advantage of. I have always had a passion for Real Estate marketing. Part of my strategy has always been to find valuable ways to market homes that others are not. Most Realtors market their homes in MLS, Realtor.com, and maybe a personal website.

When the Real Estate market was going like gang busters this was usually enough. The Real Estate market in Massachusetts is a lot more challenging at the present time. Home sellers need a Realtor that will give them an edge.

I have over twenty different websites I am presently marketing my homes in. This increases the likelyhood that people are going to find me and the homes that I am marketing. If your thinking of selling your home in Metrowest Massachusetts, I would love the opportunity to interview with you!

Bill, I like the marketing strategy, why is one of the houses on the map blue and the rest are green?

Bill- What is the difference between the Realbird and google my personal maps that also you can add your listings to and incorporate google earth with?

Great post about what you do and I love the graphic to do list :) Katerina

Thanks Brian, I believe the one in blue is due to the fact it is a townhome and not a single family.

Hi Katerina- The RealBird site is more than just the mapping. When you get to the listing page you will see that it does have the Google map and Google earth embedded into the site. With RealBird you can have a slide show, video tour, description page, a link to a neighborhood page you can create and link backs to your website and blog. It is like v-flyer and Postlets on steroids :) You can also aggregate your listing to a number of websites and also social bookmark it to Digg, Del.icio.us, Stumble Upon, ect.

Katerina - In case you missed it here is some more information about the RealBird site: http://activerain.com/blogsview/384464/Get-RealBird-Yellow-Pages

Bill, nice looking blog,  isn't realbird a website company?  Keep up the good work,

Linda - Thanks so much. I give it my best! I know selling a home in Massachusetts takes a lot more hard work. Internet marketing is a big part of making it happen.

Great Marketing as usual Bill. On your suggestion I have joined RealBird. I'm just getting to know my way around the site.

By the way I wanted to tell you I have been getting more activity on my sites due to your help.  I'm still a little intimidated by 'Them/Them' and "Hidden Gem in the Rain" groups, But you definitely qualify for both as far as I'm concerned.

Timothy - RealBird is a website that helps Realtors market their properties online. I would check it out you will be glad you did!

Maria - Once you get it figured out you will love it. There are so many great features! It is great to hear my advice has been paying off - that is awesome!! Thanks for the compliments...really appreciated :)

BILL - Once again you have proven why people in your area would be wise to choose you as their agent.  Great job on this one!

Bill, looks good and thanks for the information. I remember your post on RealBird. Have you checked the backlinks on Google by putting the address of your listings in? Sellers like to see the links where all their homes are listed.

Adam - Thanks my friend. I know you are as passionate about good marketing as I am.

Missy -  Thanks, I sure have. I have been using this as a tool to show potential clients the power of internet marketing and how it relates to the search engines. It is great to be able to show people the results when they enter the address into the search engines.

Bill - this is excellent (I expect nothing less from you) keep up the great work!

Your Friend in Charlottesville!

Charles - Thanks my friend. I know you know what it takes to market a home well.

Bill - Great post.  I'm looking into adding some of these tools now!

Thanks, Dan

Dan good luck with it. The RealBird site is a great marketing tool.

What a great way to market! Thanks Bill, Brilliant Bill! I just recently joined RealBird & 5 hours later, finally had my first flyer done. I expect to speed things up, now that I have this down (?!), and you've just privided a lot more motivation! THANK YOU!

(but I really do like the way the flyer turned out. I never did figure out how to insert our company logo--- which they require on all advertising--- I ended up inserting at the end of the slide show. Has anyone else had this challenge that you know of???)

Mara - Thanks so much! You have a great looking listing! A small suggestion though - really think about your title as this will be picked up by Google. Think about Real Estate keywords a consumer may search for in your area.

In regards to you question about a logo - Is there a place to insert one? I didn't even notice.

Thanks Bill! I'll rattle my brain today on that one. You're the best! Cheers.

No problem Mara - glad to help out.

Congrats on being a realtor who realizes that technology is a not only a very useful tool but also a necessity.  I run a company that provides a service that is similar to Birdview but is based on showing potential buyers around their neighborhoods.  It has Google's streetview for virtually driving the streets. It can also generate PDF neighborhood reports for potential buyers.  While we don't presently cover your area.  If we get interested parties signed up we will expand.  Feel free to check out Chicago, Milwaukee or Dallas at www.peekacity.com

Craig let me know if your firm does come to Massachusetts. I am always looking for new ways to promote my clients homes online.

Hi Bill - just noticed this post of yours today and wanted to stop by and give my congrats as well. I truly believe that in this type of market, and perhaps in any market going forward (with web 2.0 becoming more prevalent every day) it is so important to be involved in an effective online marketing strategy. You are doing an outstanding job and really set a great example for other Real Estate professionals to follow. Best of luck to you and your continued success.

Candis - Thank you very much for your compliments. Online marketing is critical today. Having a presence on the internet in multiple locations is a major key to getting a home sold. Coming up on the 1st page of Google for search terms related to Real Estate in my area is a goal I am always trying to achieve. Of course having a powerful blog site is a major part of that strategy!
