Mark your calendar. The Chancellor's Sheep and Wool Showcase will be held this year on April 26th, 2008 from 11:00-5:00 PM at the Clermont State Park.
This will be a day of fun, music, food, sheep shearing, knitting demonstrations, spinning, dyeing, exhibition of different breeds and much, much more
Most of all you will find yourself in one of the most picturesque settings in the Hudson Valley. Clermont State Park is on the banks of the Hudson River with a magnificent view of the Catskill Mountains.

Here is a peek at the view you will have at Clermont.

Jennifer, I remember a sheep showcase of some kind last year. I guess this must be a yearly or maybe semi-yearly event. Sounds like fun! I think I told you this before but I use to show sheep in 4-H. I'm not telling when (lol).
Hi Jennife,
That's sounds like an interesting event, I've never seen anything like that myself.
George - That might be true ,but it will be a fun day for all in attendance.
Eric - Sounds like you need a vacation. But why would you want to go on a real estate cruise?
Marchel - I most certainly won't ask how long ago you participated in 4H. I think you mentioned the 4H when I wrote about the fair.
Lynda you would love it and the scenery is breathe-taking.
Jennifer - Great local post! I like the way you incorporated the map. I tried that once and could not get it to show up properly. I'll need to try again.
Sounds like fun. I'm sure my 5 year would love to see and possibly feed the sheep.
Spring is in the air. And this is one of the many interesting events to be held in the beautiful Hudson Valley and Catskills areas.
Thanx for this post. I have always wanted to attend this, I will mark my calendar and hope to attend!!
I greatly enjoy these events. They combine my love of rural life and my love of knitting. It's a win-win.
LOL...I've never been to that type of show before. Be sure to post pictures if you attend.
Hi Jennifer,
Now that is different and I would think entertaining and educational. Great job on including the map.
Jennifer: You always find the most interesting local event! and I love the map! Clermont is a really great place for events or just to have a great picnic.
Jennifer, I shave my hair when it get's that white also, lol. Sounds like a lot of fun and I like the google map!
Jennifer, I have never seen a sheep shearing but it would be fun to watch. I love you Google Map, that is very cool, I'll have to try it sometime.
Need some buds on those trees!
Hi Jennifer,
Great invitation for the public, myself and family really do enjoy those things. I planned to attend.
Joe - Thank you, I did a post on google map.
Eugene - Your 5 year old would have fun at this site.
Derrick - There is so much to enjoy in the Hudson Valley I hope many will see it as the destination of choice.
Patrice - I hope to see you there.
Monika - I plan to, and will take pictures.
Rosario - I hope you can fit this event in, if you are, let me know maybe we can finally meet.
Cynthia - Yes it is educational for many and what a view!
Diana - I love the place, sometimes I just take a walk on the grounds, it is so breathtaking.
Ray - Don't do that , a head of gray hair is very beautiful.
Missy- It is fun to watch, I love the sheep when they are freshly sheared.
Ann - I love twisted tree trunks and bare trees, then come spring I love watching the trees come alive with leaves, this area does offer dramatic changes in the seasons.
Anthony- That's great I would love to me you and your family.
