Thursday evening, I had the great pleasure of attending the Cary Grove High School Musical - The Wiz.
Oh, my!!!! Those children are so very talented, it was absolutely incredible! The show received a 2 thumbs up, well, if I had more thumbs, I would have raised those too.
The music! The Dancing! The costumes! The acting! The Stagecrafters!
So, the economy is taking it's toll on us. Real Estate sales are down, gas and grocery prices are way up. So, instead of spending a lot of money for professional entertainment, save yourself some moola and check out the entertainment at your local highschool.
I have to figure out a way to help get this word out to our local seniors. Their ticket price is just $5, a bargain for such awesome entertainment.

OK - I just need to add a little kudos to my children here. My son, Luke, age 15 ran the light show for the musical. My daughter, Leanne, age 16, played flute in the pit band for the show.
Laurie - The students can certainly put on a great show. If you are a parent it certainly give you the opportunity to share your joy with others.
Great localism post, Laurie! Keep 'em coming!
Who knew that the bad market & higher prices would help bring families & communities closer togeather. Good for you seeing the glass 1/2 full rathern than 1/2 empty!
