Trumbull Home Sales and Real Estate Update
February 2008
Trumbull is following the trend for many of the surrounding towns. This year is running will behind the last two at the start. Two months certainly doesn't tell the entire story. It seems that buyers are staying on the sidelines waiting for the Fed Reserve to finish dropping the interest rates. As long as money is cheaper next month and payments lower, why buy today?
Unit Sales are running almost 50% below last year. Prices are down too. This is going to be a lot to make up for in future months if this is going to get back on track.
The lowest priced home sold so far was - 29 Sunset - a 4 Bedroom Colonial on .14 Acres built in 1931. It sold for $262,000. The highest priced home was 112 Hilltop - a 4 Bedroom Colonial on 1.51 Acres built in 2004. It sold for $737,000.
