Happy Spring!
Here we are in the Midwest, Chicago area, ready to enjoy spring, dust off the bikes, start taking walks outside and what do we get-6 inches of snow today!!
Our office was just starting to get a few more showings and people were just starting to start thinking "new Home" again. This winter has been so long with so much snow, colder temps, flooding, and just horrible driving conditions that I think it has really impacted the real estate market. The weather coupled with the interest rates coupled with the price of gas has created what I like to call it "the perfect storm".
I think we all just need to brace ourselves, get back to the basics of prospecting, and get through this perfect storm. When the market turns around or stabilizes, the strong will survive and it will be a wonderful thing. Hang in there-spring is coming!!!

Lisa, I'm just across the big lake and we are just starting to get nailed too, yuk.
We are suppose to get some snow here in Denver today but so far blue skies...have a great day...
I have a couple clients who live up your way. They tell me this has been the worst winter in decades. I'm glad I moved to Key West. No snow.
Lisa - Snow, yuck, come down here to Florida, we were sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the cool (65 degree) weather this morning. It was beautiful (sorry, just had to rub it in).
I love the Midwest. I love the Midwest. I love the Midwest. Maybe if I keep saying that it will come true. I can't wait for warmer weather. It's hard to get excited about my city when I keep dreaming of moving to a warmer climate - did I just says that outloud...
Lisa, it's cool and clear here in the San Francisco Bay area this morning. We haven't had a "winter storm" recently. Our winter storms are temps of about 55 degrees and rain. If you'd like to make a switch to work in prxomity to another major city, may I recommend the East Bay outside of San Francisco?
Originally from Mass and moved to Florida in 2004. Tank Top and a pair of shorts are the wardrobe for me today. Come on down. We have some great home deals happening here.
Lisa...In my part of Minn. I have had people complain that there isn't enough snow for them to use their Snowmoblies to look at the different land parcels. I wonder what ever happened to the word..."walk"?
Lisa, I know the feeling. I'm from MN. Thankfully now, I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and the weather is beautiful. Sunny skies today. You can probably still book a flight, if the airports aren't closed. :)
Hubby just filled up the snowblower. Again. I don't think we'll even drain it this year...
I am really glad spring is here also. Buyers are popping out all over and I actually am working on transactions that do not involve foreclosures.
