Oranges in the Kitchen, Bananas go to the bedroom and um… and Coconuts to the living room

Have you ever had to relocate or even move across town, and had to go buy boxes at the local u-haul for $3.00 a box? This can get real expensive real quick and I admit I move myself about every two years now and one of the secrets I've learned to save money is to make real good friends with my local produce manager!

You see, every couple days the produce department gets new boxes of fruit and then they recycle the boxes so they can make room for more boxes of fruit to come in. But, if you talk to the produce manager and tell them that you would like to take those boxes, they won't smash them down for recycling and will save them for you.

The last move we made, we figured out that we saved over $150.00 by making friends with three produce managers at local stores. To me, that was well worth it. So before your next move, head to your local produce department and save yourself some big money!
