Wind Power, Renewable Energy for Northern ArizonaIt was reported today that the Navajo Nation is making plans to make use of wind power and is working with Boston Based Citizens Energy Corp. The Navajo Nation has a vast amount of land on the reservation and winds are steady and should be easily harnessed. It seems to us that there should be a concerted effort by all levels of Government to become proactive in alternative renewable energy and the Navajo Nation should be applauded. The Federal & State Governments as well as existing utilities would do well to step up their efforts. |
