Thank you to the legions of people who watched The Early Show on CBS all this week looking for me. I'm sorry to have disappointed you. Trust me, even though I recorded it every morning and I spent all week waking up early and watching in anticipation of my national T.V. debut.
It didn't happen. I told a zillion people about it. My family, my friends, my clients, my prospective clients, my colleagues, all of you, and even a few strangers.
It honestly felt a bit embarrassing and I thought for sure that I was on the cutting room floor, but hey, that's the news business. Sometimes fashion stories, cranes collapsing, and wines for under 15 bucks are just more important stories than little segments about two words that are on everyone's mind these days REAL ESTATE!
Okay, here's the scoop.
I am expecting now that my segment taped last Friday
WILL be airing tomorrow morning (Saturday) between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on The Early Show on CBS.
How do I know? I checked The Early Show website this afternoon and in the upper right hand corner, there's a "Coming Up Next" box which lists tomorrow's stories. For the first time this week, the story I got interviewed for appears in this box.
If you are unable or unwilling to wake up this early on a Saturday morning, set your TIVO, your VCR, or just wait until I post the streaming video online after it airs.
I rarely, if ever, watch a morning news show on t.v., so this week was an eye-opener for me.
Some of the things I learned this week from watching The Early Show on CBS:
- The First Lady of France posed nude.
- College kids actually play Quidditch (the fictional sport from the Harry Potter books).
- Weathermen really act goofy.
- There are lots and lots of annoying commercials on national t.v. news shows
- Big Mama's Soul Food looks very good -- but you have to go to Pittsburgh to try it.

Ya know I've spent a lot of early mornings lately explaining to Al why I "need" to watch TV. Okay one more shot I am giving ya..... Mr. Washington ...was that Mrs. Washington?
I'll have to catch it in re-runs.... Will but up and out of the house by 7:30 for my long run with the Team in Training.

Brian I think this is quite comical. I realize it might be embarrassing to you but I've enjoyed the humor. At this point you've been the reason many people have gotten up early this week and maybe they were able to get more done during the day as a result (I'm a early bird myself). I hope you'll be on before 8 a.m. so I get a chance to see it otherwise I'll just have to catch it on the web later.
With only 15 minutes of fame allocated to us mortals enjoy it and be happy.

Brian,I will be looking for the streaming video. Will be at the gym early in the morning. Whenever you are on ....will be wonderful. Pretty terrific getting 4 posts out of one airing. lol
Hi Brian, Congratulations on not being on the cutting room floor! My mom used to say "a watched pot never boils" and I do find that oftentimes as soon as I forget about something it materializes. Life is funny that way. Hope you get an Emmy! Cheers, Harley

Tivo is set. Sorry...not getting up that early on a Saturday. I had already planned to sleep late. However, I will record it and watch later. Will GW be making a special appearance on it as well???? =]
