We've all heard that before and we usually know where the telemarketer is heading with this famous phrase. I however will use it here to call attention to there being more than what the media has been saying about the current real estate market; especially here in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky.
As we all step back and take a deep breath in our view of the current mortgage crisis, let's all remember that mortgage rates are still extremely low and property values are very affordable. The Lexington, KY area has not seen quite as much of a downturn as some other parts of the country. If your thinking about making a move in your life, educate yourself on the reality of the marketplace and look at it objectively taking in the entire picture.

Welcome to Active Rain. Nice first post. You are right. Neither Lexington nor Louisville is seeing much of a downturn right now.
