Statistics were provided by the real estate consulting firm Robert Charles Lesser & Co. The Rancho Sahuarita community reported total sales of 573 in 2007 and there was an increase of 17 percent of homes sold from 2006.

The Rancho Sahuarita Community includes 12 neighborhoods and further expansion is planned. It has a lake with walking path around, parks, a great recreation center that includes a fitness center, aerobic rooms, and child care center, and other amenities inlcuding tennis courts and basketball courts. The community also has very large pool, and kids pool fun center together with an amphitheater for shows. The Recreation Center is also available for party rental and has a teen room, lounge, and dining room,

Homes in Rancho Sahuarita range in size from 1200 sq ft to almost 3000 sq ft and there are a variety of new home builders building within the Community.

Some including Maracay homes have a flex product in which a basement option can be added and rooms can be changed and customised.

Three new schools were upgraded when the community was opened, and another new elementary school finished completion last year.

The Rancho Sahuarita Community also has Sonora by Del Webb a retirement Community within Rancho Sahuarita, that offers a full range of adult community recreation as well as their own community center and pool. Homes in the community range in price from mid 100's to over 300,000

The Rancho Resort Community which includes the Courtyards and Madera Village has also been included in the masterplan community of Rancho Sahuarita.

The other top 10 best-selling master-planned communities were in Las Vegas, Phoenix and Houston, according to Robert Charles Lesser. what is interesting is that five of those communities showed decreases in sales from 2006 to 2007.

The Community also has an events calendar that lets residents know of upcoming community recreation.

It is a 20 minute commute to downtown Tucson, the airport, Raytheon and Davis Monthan Airforce base from the Community. The area is also close to Greeen Valley shopping 5 minutes away, and new shopping centers in Sahuarita. Madera Canyon an place of outstanding natural beauty is only 20 minutes away.

This just reinforces that Tucson's market has not been hit as badly as other areas of the country and that national and local negative press has attempted to included every city and neighborhood in the national data.

Also the figures include Rancho Sahuarita new home sales that are sometimes missed in the MLS overall figures published for an area.
