Summit County

Summit County, Colorado has name recognition that few counties in the nation enjoy. The reason is obvious: Summit is home to four internationally known ski resorts located in different towns in one county. "Summit County" has become synonymous with Colorado's high country and represents the pinnacle of the nation's ski, outdoor recreation, and hospitality industry. With our beautiful mountains and gorgeous summers summit county is one of the fastest growing in all of Colorado. Summit County's real estate can be one of the best investments in the nation. We routinely average annual double digit gains in our properties. As we approach total build out with some estimates speculating it to occur within the next 10 years or less, we expect to see exciting things to come for all who own a piece of what we call Colorado's playground.

Summit County Real Estate

• From 2004 to 2005, sales of million-dollar-plus properties increased 70 percent.
• From 2005 to 2006, sales increased 64 percent.
• In 2004, 61 sold.
• Last year, 171 sold.
• In 2004, million-dollar-plus single-family homes sales made up approximately 11 percent of total single-family home sales; the remaining 89 percent of single-family homes sold for less than $1 million.
• That percentage more than doubled by 2006. Out of all single-family homes that sold last year, approximately 23 percent cost $1 million or more.
