This week, I really enjoyed riding on the Light Rail test track just East of Sky Harbor. Again we are designing ahead for most of the Valley and not comprehensively.

I asked Scottsdale Councilmen, Ron McCullough what he thought people wanted and he said - They don't want light rail in Scottsdale.

Successful Light Rail in San Diego, Denver, Sacramento and Salt Lake City show that ridership expanded greatly after initial uses. There are so many fantastic side benefits to society with light rail I cannot understand why the powers that be are not help the less intuitive to see the benefits.

Scottsdale should have Light Rail to run up the wash near Hayden from Tempe to Carefree with rail Trolley links like in Princeton New Jersey, to run circles - old town and waterfront, Kierland and Airpark, Scottsdale North and Mayo, hook up with the Light Rail from 101 and the 51 - up to Carefree - Grayhawk, DC Ranch etc.

The future is now!
