You make me want to take a ride up the coast. Did you change your back ground picture on your blog? I love the water!

Hi Monika - wow, you're fast!  It makes me want to go for a ride, too!  And I'm right here...  ;-)

Yes, I did change that, still tinkering with it a bit, too.

Ann

Ann... I love the first and 2nd to last picture.  It reminds me of the small towns north of Boston.  Near the Salem area where my sister and brother-in-law use to live.... nice pis.

What a great area, love the sun on the water!

Your Friend in Charlottesville Virginia!

Oh how I miss the water myself....

Hi Jeff- that area around Salem is very pretty, and it does look a lot like parts of this area.  The first picture was taken from the bank of the river in Portsmouth looking across at Kittery and the Memorial Bridge, one of 3 bridges that cross over into Kittery.  The next to last picture was taken at the Kittery Town Wharf, just looking down at all the skiffs and dinghies tied up there.  I like those pictures, too.

It's so picturesque here, it's hard to choose what pictures to use, and it's hard to not fill up my computer with all kinds of pictures of this area!

Thanks for commenting!

Hi Charles - this is certainly my favorite area of the country, and it really is beautiful, much more so in person than I could ever convey in my pictures!

Hey Jason!  Well then come on up and get a dose of water for yourself!  We do have plenty of it everywhere you look here along the coast in NH and Maine.  That's one of the things I love about living here - literally just a couple minutes from water in any one direction, and it's so soothing to just go for a nice ride or pull over and sit on the rocks or the bank of the river - mesmerizing.   For you - MWA!

Thanks for the comments!

Ann, I love how you were able to link from you MLS to the homes. I wish ours would do that. :(

Ann... I just called my brother-in-law.... they lived in Beverly, MA.  And yes, I like that whole area. What was the town that the Perfect Storm was about?  I know they were two towns down from there also.

jeff belonger

Hi Missy - I like being able to do that as well, and am glad I can!  It makes it easier to get good info out to people.  Maybe yours will soon....?

Hi Jeff - Beverly isn't too far from here. I can't remember where that was from - maybe Gloucester or Marblehead area?  It had to be a fishing port town, and those are the 2 I can think of right now.

Mmmmm.  I like the one on Goose Point Road.  Your market offers nice lot sizes for waterfront.  Our lots are often quite small for the price and yet, we have so much water front.

Hi Ann,

I'm way over due on a shopping trip, I love going up to Kittery its so beautiful there! :)

Since my parents were both from Newfoundland...the Northeast oceanfront always calls my name!  Very well done!

Hi Lenn - Goose Point is a very pretty area, and that is a nice house!  A lot of our waterfront does have some very nice-sized lots, and in other areas, we've got the smaller lots that you're probably talking about.  In Maine, the waterfront lots, for the most part, are large lots, and in New Hampshire they tend to be a little smaller.

Hi Suzanne - come on up and shop to your heart's content!!  And if you do, let me know - I'd love to meet up with you.

Ann

Hi Jim - I can hear it calling you now!!  ;-)   Do you ever go up there to visit?  I bet it's very pretty there, and hope to take a little visit up there sometime.  We see commercials on TV for that area frequently, and it looks like a beautiful area.

Ann it has been a few years since I have been to Kittery, but I still remember how nice that whole area is.  Maine is a beautiful State, and you can't go wrong no matter where you go in Maine.

Ann, the entire area looks beautiful.  I love the buildings and all the water.  Great report.

Hi George - Maine really is a beautiful state, the "Pinetree State".  Next time, notice I said 'next time', you'll have to let us know so we can meet up!

Hi Ray -  I am so lucky to live right here with all this beauty all around me!

Ann, You may not have bluebonnet flowers in Maine, but your area looks like a wonderful place to live and/or visit.  Those pictures look like they belong on post cards.!!!

Hi Sondra - thanks for coming by and reading this post!  I do live in a gorgeous area, that's for sure!  Thanks for the compliments on my pics - I've got beautiful scenery to take pictures of!

Ann - Maine and the rest of the Atlantic Sea Coast has always held a special spot in our vacation destinations memory banks - your pictures were a timely reminder of what we have missed lately by traveling elsewhere.

Hi Kathy - if you ever come back this way for vacations, we'll have to get together.  This is a beautiful area to visit, and even more so to get to live here and enjoy it every day!

Hey Jay - and i know you know first-hand just what this area is like, too.  Coming back any time soon???

Thanks for reading!

and

i love prescott park in full bloom.

Jay - ah, Prescott Park in full bloom - so very beautiful!  I took some great pictures of that this past summer, and will be using those in an upcoming post.  If you do hop on a plane and come up this way, let me know!

Ann~

Oh Boy! I really, really, really want to come visit NH> I got this urge because of the posts you have been writing....and over the years,  it is your prodding that has done it. But I'm not unhappy...just wishing for a vacation...more and more...

Ann..... it was Gloucester... I like that whole area up there. I love the small fishing towns, the boats, the docks, and the small mini lighthouses.

How far are you from Boston itself?

jeff belonger

Hi janeAnne - well you know right where to come and we do have an extra bedroom.......  Come on up!!

Hi Jeff - Boston is straight down the highway, I-95 is a straight shot right into Boston from me, about a 45-50 minute drive.  Gloucester is beautiful, right on the coast and it fits right into that description you wrote.  We've got 3 lighthouses right here in Portsmouth area, and another one just north about 10 minutes from me in York - Nubble Lighthouse.
