CNNMoney.com has released its list of the Top 10 Fastest Growing Real Estate Markets and three Upstate New York cities made the list - Rochester, Buffalo/Niagara Falls and Syracuse. The other seven were McAllen TX, Birmingham AL, New Orleans LA, Scranton PA, Grand Rapids MI, Baton Rouge LA and El Paso TX.

This is good news for Upstate NY! "Why?", you may ask. Because this means that it is very much a good time to purchase real estate if you are considering upgrading to a new home, purchasing your first home or simply investing in real estate for the future. Our market is alive and thriving.

Thank you for posting this blog.

 My brother lives in a subburb of Buffalo.  He can make a decent living becasue of the internet and high speed traveling that was not available in the past.  I think CNN is right to point out that there are places, where the average prive of a home actually makes sense.

 I live in the NYC area and I cannot believe the prices for a small studio apartment goes for.
