Wall Street Journal - The Housing Crisis is Over

I have been out of the loop for the last 5 days, my sweet children gave me the "stomach flu" that has been going around school. Now granted we have a family of 4, 3 of us have taken the toll of stomach flu hell! Needless to say, Mother's Day was spent in bed. LOL

Now I'm glad to be back at work and blogging...I've missed out on the current and local events. There's so much to chat about.

I think that out of all the articles I've read this past week, blogs, RSS feeds, local newspapers, you name it, I've read it all, this article from the Wall Street Journal was refreshing to read.

The Housing Crisis is Over The Wall Street Journal

With all of the negative news in the press, a little positive news was greatly appreciated. My husband and I sent this article to all of our data base.

The NAR is reporting that the second half of this year is going to pick up.  I think it really will depend on the Banks.

Positive news is so important right now.Hope everyone is feeling better!

I wrote on this very article, and many agents are commenting on the upswing in their areas all over the country. I too have seen signs of improvement, sometimes its news articles like this that will boost the perception of the market even more!!

Thanks for the article.  This is a good one to send out to fence sitting buyers.

Endea...Beautiful unigue name!  Thanks for visiting our blog. I agree with you, the Banks play a BIG role on the future of the upswing for this market.

Rob...Positive news is a must on today's market!  Now all the consumer needs to figure out is if they want to jump on the bandwagon and buy while the rates are at an all time low or not.

Great article as you mentioned you and Karen think alike.  As a lender we are seeing the activity as well.  Turn times for UW for some FHA Loans that two Banks offer at this time have longer turn times because of no FICO score requirement and no collection limit.  These two Banks have been real busy because the buyers fall into this catagory, but as the inventory is moving and the buyers are coming out of the wood work it is great news!  Also, I might add I will be offering a class for 3 general credit hours on FHA financing if your interested I'll be posting this week when it will take place.

Chris.....Changes happen so fast throughout the Real Estate industry, a few days off sometimes feels like a lifetime. LOL  FHA loans are doing some great things, we have a few "Fence Sitting Buyers" and with the changes going on throughout FHA it's been a saving grace for these individuals.  Thanks for visiting our blog and I'll keep in mind the classes your providing.
