While many people travel for Memorial Day weekend, if you are one of those that is staying local, head to The Woodlands in Kansas City, Kansas for the Great American BBQ! Not only can you have some great food, but there are bands, kids activites, fireworkds on Saturday and much more. One thing I want to check out is the Sauce Contest where you receive free samples of barbecue sauce on meat in the Sauce Tent from 10 to 4 on Saturday and Sunday.
