When I lived in Hawaii as a child in the 60's practically anyone could afford a home. Values have gone up!
Dan - things have indeed changed. Haiku and Paia are not the cheapest most affordable markets on Maui. There are plenty of lower priced options though.
those are sure substantial prices!!!
BJ - Yes it's true, Mau real estate is not cheap inexpensive.
